Staff
In the Diamondville town hall we have three very hardworking individuals.
These people are responsible for running our town in a proper
and legal manner. Our clerk/treasurer does all of the work required
to keep the town in compliance with the laws governing municipalities.
Our municipal judge makes sure the citizens brought before her
are in compliance with the laws of the town and state. And lastly,
our town attorney makes sure we write appropriate ordinances to
govern our community, and then stands behind us in a court of
law.

Jeanne
Horsburgh...If every there was a rock or a force of stability,
it is Jeanne. She handles her responsibilities in a quiet, dependable,
proficient manner. She is indeed the driving force of the community.
Jeanne began
working for Diamondville on August 25, 1980. When the position
for Clerk/Treasurer came up, she thought it would be great to
carry on the tradition of being a part of those working for the
town. Jeanne’s grandfather, Andrew Horsburgh, was Diamondville’s
Town Marshall for eighteen years. Her father, Douglas Horsburgh,
served on the Diamondville Town Council for thirteen years and
as Mayor for ten years. Her grandmother, Elizabeth Horsburgh,
helped establish the first playground in Diamondville.

“In
my many years of working for the Town, I have had the honor of
working under three great mayors that always worked for the best
interest of the town and its citizens. There was always something
being done to make Diamondville a unique town

If
ever there was a compassionate, caring, hardworking individual
it is our Municipal Judge Wanda Newman. I have watched her struggle
to educate and deliver sentences that she hopes will turn the
tide in the direction of a better life for the person standing
before her.
Wanda became
the town’s municipal judge on January 1, 2000. When she
was appointed, she said she wanted to help when possible, and
hopefully make a difference in the community. She said the mayor
and council are excellent to work for. Wanda moved here is 1978,
left for three and a half years, and then came back to stay. She
said she missed the community, and her son wanted to graduate
from here. “It’s just home,” she said.

– “I’m really proud of Diamondville! We have
beautiful parks, a skateboard park for the youth, and our maintenance
crew is the best! The police department goes above and beyond
their necessary duties. The mayor and council work hard to keep
everything positive and effective. If “Hometown” has
a meaning, it’s Diamondville.”

The last member of our office staff is a wonderful gentleman who is much more than legal counsel. Attorney Dennis Boal is our guiding light for all legal advice and a compassionate thoughtful attorney when representing Diamondville in any court venue. He is really an asset to our community.
Dennis became town attorney on September 2001. Before that, one of his associates worked for the town.
Quote – “It is fun to work for a town council that has vision and a dedicated town staff.”
